Frog DMG!!! Our own super-easy to use Everquest DPS parser

We, the whole team of EqSearchPro, are proud to present the easier and faster Everquest DPS parsers around the world.
With just few controls and having almost everything automatic, you may focus on what is really important during a raid or a hunt session: Your dps performance and the slackiness of your fellow companions.

We are focussing on a product (which is free ;)) that may suit the needs of lots of players, from casuals to high-end gamers, and even being fully configurable you can begin using it by just selecting your character log and nothing else! It is not even needed to deleted your gigantic-2-gigs-log file, because the program will ask you about how many mbytes you want to parse...

We are aware that if you are looking for parry/dodge percentages, hit ratios etc then you will find better options out there... at least at this stage of development!. But believe us... once you test it you can't avoid using it!

Download the latest version of FrogDMG!!! free.

FrogDaMaGe!!! Everquest DPS Parser. Screenshot. You can download the last versions of FrogDMG using the following links, just unzip the file wherever you want and double click the exe file.
Our antivirus says that the file is virus-free, but feel free to double check-it :)

This program uses the .NET Microsoft Framework 2.0. If your computer is missing this package, you can download it using the windows update feature, or directly from Microsoft: Framework 2.0 download from Microsoft (choose the correct version for your system)
If you don’t know if you are missing it or not, don’t worry… FrogDmg will crash if you don’t have it =D

This program has been tested in Windows XP 32bits, Windows Vista 32&64 bits and Windows 7 64bits. If you encounter any compatibility problems with your system, please sent us a mail.

Download FrogDMG... note: worldinfo.xml/frogdmgcfg.xml files are included in the zip file. If you already have a previous version with your customized colours etc, DO NOT overwrite your xml files!!

(pssst! if you like it, maybe you can visit some of the sites advertised on the ads and help us maintain this site with some cents. Thank you!)

Whats New...

... in version 1.0.6?
  • Bug fixes related with BIG log files (bigger than 2GB). Now the file can be as big as you want :)
  • Some people complained about the "hidden" internet connection that the program was doing to check for a new version. Now a window asking for your permision will appear!
... in version 1.0.5?
  • Due to popular demand, pet damage is now merged with its owner. Remember that your pet should say the "pet says 'My leader is ownerName.' sentence!!!
Example of pet damage merged with its owner.
  • Now the total encounter damage and dps is also shown in the "Clipboard Summary"
... in version 1.0.4?
  • Nasty bug showing wrong combined "DirectDPS" when selecting more than one fight. Now it should be correct.
  • Now the grid also shows the list of spells casted! (with interrupts and fizzles!!). Please note that the leader of the group must have the 'Spell Awareness Group Leader AA' in order to collect this data. Be sure to configure the "minimum damage to appear in raid encounters" to 0 if you want to see what are casting your healers!!.
Example of spells casts vya a player.
  • Implemented a preliminar version of an auto-update. Once in a week the program will automatically check for an update and will show a message to the user if a new version is available.

So... What can FrogDMG!!! do?? (features list)

  • Parsing during normal gameplay (On The Fly, you don't need to wait for the end of the encounter)
  • Shows the current DPS (the DPS thats being done NOW against one or more mobs!!) or autoswitches to the most recent finished encounter (depending on the selected tab).
  • Logs hit types (pierce, bash...) and DoT names, showing the total dmg percentage of each one!
  • Logs spells casted and disciplines used (not all atm!). Compare yourself with other players or discover who is slacking!
  • Pets are included :)
  • Every log file may be associated with a "profile", allowing ultrafast positioning to the last parsed position not needing to delete your log everytime you want to parse something, or waste a lot of time just because the program is reparsing what it is already done...
  • Multiple profiles allows easy switching between log files in seconds. You don't even need to search for the log! Store one profile per character, and open the one you want when you want.
  • Generate a summary of selected fights into clipboard. (So you can paste it into Everquest and share the info with your friends).
  • Order by any column: Dps, scaled dps, name, dmg in/out...
  • Fancy graphics may show DPS or Scaled DPS (the default)
  • Resizable graphics / grid with historical data
  • Customizable colors
  • It is FAST, It is SIMPLE (just 2 buttons ;)), it is Graphical!!

Quick guide for beginners...

  • The first time you run the application you need to choose a log file. You can do that pressing the “…” button, and then hit the big “PARSE” button.
If everything goes well, the main character name of the log file will be autodetected. If thats not the case, write it down in the "character name" box.
Select a character log to parse.
If you create a profile (File menu -> save profile), the next time you open the application that profile will be loaded and the parsing will automatically begin, continuing from last stored position.
You can create as many profiles as you want, just choose another log file (another character) and save it. The last manually loaded profile will be the one that is auto loaded by the application on start up.

  • If log file is BiIIiIG, a dialog will appear asking you the % of the file to be parsed. You can safely jump to last 1% or 2% and start parsing the actual data. That dialog will just appear if data pending to be parsed is greater than 100mbytes. Too much data!! Are you sure?.

  • The top part of the main dialog is covered by the historical data. This is, the fights that you have done and that are finished. You can quickly click in one and see all its information instantly
Example of a finished encounter data.
  • The bottom part of the main dialog is covered by the Fancy-Graphics tab.
In Historical tab you will see data of the selected finished fights (you can select as many as you want), or the last finished fight if you don’t select nothing (or just the ‘newest’ one).
In Current tab you will see the current fight data. When a fight ends that chart will automatically appear empty, and when a fight begins the chart will show new columns and values. By clicking on one finished encounter, the program will autoswitch to Historical tab. Example of a finished encounter graphic.
Please note that profile only store a fixed amount of encounters (last n configured days)

  • Clases may be colored in different colors (configurables at configuration). It is worth to mention that in order to know which class is every player you must do a /who (or ctrl-w) in game... for anonymous players, obviously this will not work. You may also choose whether you want to appear in a different color (so you can locate yourself fast!!) or not.
    FrogDMG configuration dialog.
  • If you click on the "Generate a summary into clipboard" button, the summary of the selected fights will appear in a text box allowing you to modify the text and copy-paste-it into Everquest, so you can share the info with your guildies.
Summary autogenerated from a selected fight
